Babiators Eco Collection
Dive into our Eco Range
Did you know that a whopping 4.4 million pounds of plastic enter our oceans every day?! That’s the equivalent of one truckload of plastic every minute. If we don’t take action, by 2050, the plastic in our oceans will outweigh the fish that call it home.
Here at Babiators, we are committed to creating a brighter and safer future for our little ones, ensuring that they can continue to play and explore this big, beautiful world for generations to come – and it all starts with cleaning up our planet!
That’s why we are excited to launch our brand-new Eco collection made with 100% recycled ocean plastic. We are striving to stop the pollution of our oceans one pair of shades at a time.
What makes this range so awesome?
When you choose to shop from our Eco range, you are not only choosing frames of the highest quality and UV protection, but you’re also making a positive impact.
Each pair of our Eco sunnies are made with 100% recycled ocean-bound HDPE that is lightweight, resilient, and of course, recyclable. These sustainably stylish shades also come with a handy storage bag, doubling as a cleaning cloth, that is made from recycled polyester.
The Eco collection will also be packed up in recycled packaging made from FSC Certified paper that is entirely ethically harvested and produced.
Not all heroes wear capes... some wear shades!
How it works
Every single pair of shades from the Babiators Eco collection is made with a purpose, and sourced from salvaged waste materials that are at risk of polluting our oceans.
We have chosen to partner with a leading company in plastic waste reclamation that works hand-in-hand with small coastal communities around the world, including several in Haiti and Mexico.
While a number of these communities lack formal waste collection programs, this partnership will help to empower local residents to help clean up their coastlines, while contributing to their livelihoods. One bag of collected plastic waste can help support a single family for up to a week!
The collected plastics can include everything from milk jugs to patio furniture, to toys and toiletry bottles. It is then sorted, washed, and transformed into flexible, durable, and high-quality PCR resin that will eventually become your little one’s awesome Babiators.
