Joie and Our Planet
“We want your babies to keep smiling long before they’ve grown out of their gear. This means doing our part to protect where they live and play.”
Products with purpose
Joie is committed to making the world a better place, and they always consider the environment every baby step of the way.
Joie’s Cycle collection upcycles post-consumer plastic bottles and turns them into stunning and durable fabrics. These recycled fabrics not only reduce waste, but they also give a new life to existing material. The process uses less energy and resources than it would take to create an entirely new product.
All fabrics used within their innovative Cycle collection are made from recycled materials, with up to 33 bottles used for a single car seat cover, and 94 bottles used for a single stroller. And they don’t compromise safety for sustainability, extensive testing has proven that their upcycled materials are just as soft and durable as virgin polyester.
8.8 million tons of waste ends up in our ocean every year, and a bin lorry’s worth of plastic is dumped into the ocean every minute.
Waste not, want not
Between 2005 and 2018, Joie recycled over 1,000 tons of plastic to keep their landfill contribution minimal.
Solar powered
Joie’s use of solar power has reduced their greenhouse gas emissions by 1536.5 tons.
Do more with less
Joie’s energy consumption has steadily decreased over the past few years, while production has increased! This means they can produce the same excellent quality products to protect your little ones, while also protecting our planet.
